My taste in music runs from classical to heavy rock and blues, the latter of which, as a guitar player myself, unquestionably gives me the most pleasure.

Amongst my favourite classical composers, I particularly like the great Russian composers of the late 19th and early 20th century, but above all, the great Czech violinist and composer, Antonin Dvorak.

Me playing guitar

Some early and contemporary folk music has, occasionally interested me, but nothing quite so much as R & B.

Bands like Deep Purple, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, to mention just a handful, and the guitarists that have inspired me the most:

Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, Carlos Santana, Ritchie Blackmore, Eric Clapton, Angus Young.

And, if I’m not at risk of sounding too self-interested … myself.  As my fiery ill-disciplined, passion for the electric guitar, after all the thousands of hours I have been playing, seems to be going from strength to strength!
